• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3LTD Passenger Backrest Modification to extend height needed?

Passenger Backrest F3LTD

A friend of mine wants to extend the height of the passenger backrest on his 2019 F3LTD
His passenger has a medical condition and needs the backrest to be higher by about 3” to 4” and across the width to give extra support
The issue is that the Rear Trunk Lid opens over the existing passenger backrest
Has anyone modified the backrest to allow this to be done or can suggest a work around to achieve the desired result

Why not try fitting a 'velcro-ed on' pad to the front edge of the Trunk Lid?? :dontknow:

If you make the new pad protrude forward enough, it should fill the gap between the trunk lid and the top leading edge of the back rest.... and the velcro attachment bit will allow you to easily remove the pad when you want to open the trunk. Should work OK, would that help?? If it's not something you're confident in making/sourcing your own, then I'd ask a wheel chair provider/modifier or an orthotics supplier if they could make you something to do the job - they may even have better ideas. :ohyea:

Over to you!
