• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3L Advice sought - will I miss my RTL?

What is the difference between a F3S and F3L?
F3S is more stripped down. Sport ride. F3L has saddle bags, trunk, large dash we stereo, floor boards, heated grips, and more. Another words more luxury for touring.

The F3 I’m looking at has saddlebags, trunk and cruise so looks like an F3L. The warranty that comes with the bike says F3 S Se6.

What about the decreased wind and rain protection of the F3L vs the RTL around the foot area?

Baker wings make lower wind rain deflectors for the F3 model's. They work good but would even be better if you have the ultimate floorboards also.

I had a '16 RTL and for me, it just wasn't fun to ride. A vertically challenged friend of mine had dropped his GW several times. He rode my RT one day and said "that's what I need" so I sold it to him. Another friend had just bought a new F3L last spring and I rode it. I now have over 5K miles on my new F3T and have enjoyed every mile.

I bought the F3L before selling the RTL and it he difference was amazing! 3.75” lower seat height makes a huge difference.

No regrets whatsoever.

I drive an F3s, 2019 model, I love the seating position on this bike, I testdrove an rt, and didn't like the seating position, It's just what your preference is...
on an RT you are on top, and with a f3 you are more in the bike, think f3 as a corvette, and a RT/l more like a grandtour...

I had a 2020 RTL and just recently traded for a 2022 F3L Special. I like the feel of being in the bike rather than on the bike. I can take turns much easier now than with the RTL. Like a little more wind in the face feel over previous bike. Feels more like riding a two wheeler. Fun, glad I went from RTL to the F3L. Gave up some storage space but on multi day trips not a problem. Slight less passenger room-2".
