• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 Passenger Sensor and one piece aftermarket seats

Found a few threads on the passenger sensor but can't seem to get an answer about this. I'm considering a one-piece Ultimate seat but am worried how it may affect the passenger sensor. The Ultimate instructions simply show to remove the seat lock pin from the OEM seat and reinstall on the Ultimate seat - but without the spring. Sure don't want the sensor to be depressed permanently but would like it work normally with a passenger. This would probably apply to other aftermarket one-piece seats as well. Anyone have knowledge about this?

I had to put a cover over the pax seat button to keep it from being pressed with just a bag strapped on the seat. I could take the cover off if I wanted the nanny to detect a passenger.

Been told it would throw fault codes if you put a switch in the wires and turned the switch off.

I was told awhile back that if you travel solo and carry a bag on the passenger seat you could remove the cover and take out the plunger. Never tried it but check around.

In answer to my original post, I received the following directly from Ultimate Seats:

"Our seat base pan has a clearance hole that sits around the sensor
and the seat foam does not touch the sensor until the passenger weight
depresses it."

I would hope that the other after-market brands do the same.

What exactly does the RT/F3 passenger seat switch do, anyway? I've heard various answers like it increases power or enables the passenger airbag (kind of doubting that one). Does it matter if a bag engages the switch?

There is no passenger airbag. The switch changes the brake bias (front to back) primarily and adjusts how the nanny reacts.
