There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. F3 or a used ST

I liked the ST and now that I'm in the market to purchase my 3rd Spyder.... I'm not sure to go to the F3 or the ST. I'm mainly conserned that I'm going to buy a troubled Lemon in the ST.. But will the F3 have its share of issues too once it really gets on the market?

What are your thoughts?

Apples and oranges as far as focus. It depends more on what you want from your Spyder than issues (as long as we are talking 2014/15 and not 2013 ST).

I'd certainly ride the F3 before deciding.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAT

:gaah::gaah::gaah: :lecturef_smilie:....Rich, when are you going to realize the twin is an antique and a Dinosaur to boot........I loved my Norton commando, but that was then and this is now ........just sayin Mike

You will have to ride them. I am a bit agressive in the corners and by the looks of the F3 and riding position I do not think I could attack the corners like I do on my ST.
As far as problems I will get to the 10000 mile mark in the next week or 2 and I have had NO mechanical issues with my 13 ST.
I harldy think the v twin is a dinosaur. To each there own, some people like Caddilacs & Lincolns and some of us prefer Camaro's and Corvettes. I have driven a 1330 and it was nice, but I will stick with the 998 for the time being as it was a lot more fun.

I agree with what has already been said. If you ride hard and like cornering fast I'd go with the F3. If you like to cruise and would like to save some cash buy an ST. FYI.. my dealer told me that he test rode an F3 at the show and it is very comfortable with the adjustable handlebars and foot pegs.

But some folks prefer the crotch rocket position.... Also, I much prefer the looks of the RSS over the F3, but then I'm an RT driver....

I agree, the 998 V Twin is not a dinosaur. There are a lot of great V-Twin power plants out there. It could be debated as to whether this is the right motor for the Spyder. But the lighter and nimbler the Spyder, the better the 998 works.

Still, I'd like to see a high performance 1330 in the sportier models.

Agree..!!

you would really have to try the F3. Not my choice but you can't go on the few reviews seen so far. To each his own you have to be the judge...

Test driving the F3 is the best way to determine if it is for you. The ACE 1330 powerplant seems to be a pretty good set up. Very few issues have cropped up and most who have it like it a lot.

In regards to handling and fast cornering, there is a reason that superbikes have the pegs under and slightly behind you and not out in front of you.....

the more i see the f3 the more it is growing on me. i really like the seating and leg positions on the bike BUT it took me almost 1 year to dress my rt to make it mine and to be really comfortable on it so no change for me

The center of gravity is definitely lower on the F3 than other spyders, and that may surprise some as to its cornering capabilities

WELL.WELL.WELL

Even with that antique, pushrod engine up front! :2thumbs:
:agree:...............And what's in your NEW Spyder now Bob .................................Not that FABULOUS 998 ..............WELL WHY ??????.......................just sayin....Mike

After sitting on the F-3 and getting a really close look, I'd go with the F-3. I liked it so much that I'm going to take a test ride this coming Thursday (23rd). We all know what happens when we take a test ride. I presently have a 2013 RT-S with a 622 Trailer.
