My F3S has the BRP detachable passenger backrest and the Shad saddlebags already installed on it. I wanted to add the new F3 luggage rack from MBL Innovations but the instructions did not apply to the current setup for a couple of reasons. The solution to the problem: Replace the upper spacers on the saddlebag rack with shorter spacers. Then I installed the F3 rack between the spacers and the saddlebag rack. Everything fits like it should. The spacers are The Hillman Group 5/16" ID x 5/8" OD x 1/2" long. I got them from Amazon.com and they are also available through Home Depot. I also opted to use the longer bolts that came with the F3 rack.
