I just ordered a set of the F4 Customs Shims.
Mine are on the way, I'll let you know after I put them in.Looking at buying the shims. Did they solve the problem?
When you way "warranty" the trunk lid, are you just demanding the dealer do what? It seems more like a bad design than something broken. What did the dealer do to remedy the problem?Go to the dealer and demand they warranty your trunk lid

Got mine, putting them in tomorrow. Did you have any problem with them sticking before they were in place.Just an update, I got the shims from F4 and they work great. Trunk closes no problem now.

I'm thinking that a slip sheet is in order. The paper you peel off the adhesive tape can act as that. What you do is remove the paper and replace on the tape leaving the tape exposed about 1/16" to 1/8" at the bottom. Grip the shim with a long nose pliers and when you have the shim positioned, and the bottom adhered to the wall, them lift the slip sheet. The only problem I had was getting them straight up and down. I tried to push them as far forward as possible per the instructions but it ended up they were slight angled. However, they still work great. You can feel the plastic rubbing a bit but I imagine that is what is guiding them in.
