F3 Limited 1000+ mile Review

Good to know...

Nice review..you are putting miles on it like a mad man...:roflblack: but seemingly enjoying every one of them..:2thumbs::ohyea:

Nice and to the point review review.. But I think I'll be keeping my 2015 model for a while since it has only 5,500 on it!

Thanks

Thanks BikerDoc for the review, this would have been my next Spyder, but since seeing the F3 Turbo concept I am pretty much hooked on the looks of it. The F3 Turbo will be my next Spyder if Can-Am build it.

Wow! Thanks so much for a great review! A couple questions, please: you said you can hear the stereo clearly at highway speeds... What type of helmet? 1/2, 3/4 or full face? Also, was the F3 laser aligned or is this on the factory alignment? How about the seat? Is it a real comfortable day-long as advertised or were you uncomfortable? Thanks in advance!

I have ridden it with both 3/4 and full face with no problems hearing stereo with either. The F3 has not been laser aligned yet, but I suspect it will be within the next month. It tracks very well with my hands off the handle bars , but I like the perfection of the laser alignment. As to the seat.. I have only ridden up to 250miles a day so far but been perfectly comfortable. I am taking it on a 1070 mile 24 hr Iron Butt Ryde on March 9th so check back with me and I can let you know for sure then.
I have ridden my 2015 F3 several times already in the over 1000 miles in 24 hr range.. This one feels even more comfortable than my 2015

Nice write up.

I am finding the view in the mirrors being blocked by the reflection of my wrists, but it may be due to my addition of the Attitude handlebars.

The windshield is fantastic. Great open view above it and little or no turbulance.

Thanks for taking the time to put up that review and answer my questions. You have answered/put to rest all of the questions and doubts (more like ignorance) that I had about this model. Enjoy the ryde!!!

Thanks for the great review and taking the time to share.

This is really making me reconsider adding windshield, heated grips, floorboards, updated rear shock, bags to my currently stock F3. Wondering if I should keep mine as it is for a bit and then change to one of these when I want to do some touring.

Wow and thanks

Exactly the info I needed for a decision about getting an F3. This proves the manufacturer is the best qualified source to develop their product. I'm going to wait for your review of the Turbo F3. Obviously Can-am is committed to this project.
Thanks

After ryding the 2015 26000 miles in 11 months, I rode the 2016 F3 Limited 1160 miles in the first week. If you are interested to see my review of the improvements, here is the link to my blog http://www.usspyderryders.com/blog/2016/2/24/f3-limited-review

I've just thought of one question, do the saddlebags lock with the ignition key?

If they're anything like the RS bags then the answer will be no. The BRP bags are made (probably in Italy) by Givi and they fit their own lock
and supply two sets of keys. I don't believe that there would physically be sufficient depth to accommodate the ignition key style barrel.
I do however hope that I'm wrong in this....

Yes!

The key works ignition, fuel, and the 2 saddlebags. Also included is an additional lock tumbler allowing you to replace the stock tumbler in Can Am trailer so all locks can be operated with just one key.

Cheers, that's great news!! I like the idea of one key for everything.
