F3 Grips ????????

I have a Yamaha Raider with Kury ISO grips and Throttle Bosses on both sides, I'm very comfortable with them and would like to add them to my F3, but after research here and on the net I can't come up with a definitive answer on what size grip will work on the F3, some say 7/8 others 1" i pulled the end cap off the left side and measured with inside calipers came up ,with 15/16, even sellers on the net show both, so question is does anyone have a for sure answer to this. For now I have ordered a set of Grip Buddy's for the rest of the season, so I can wait all winter to get the Kury's done.

i used kuryakyn part number 6263 iso grips. these are chrome but i think the come in black also. the left side fits perfect. the right side required modification of grip.the right side has a sleeve on a sleeve that holds the throttle return springs. 7/8 right side to small,1inch too big. so i made a tool to ream out the grip till it fit. the 7/8 right side grip has a 1 inch hole. grip needs to be reamed out to aproxx. 1 1/6. i used a 1 inch 80 grit flap wheel. welded a 4 inch piece of 1/4 round bar and used my cordless drill.

$8.00 and you can do 2 bikes (4 grips)....
i found my F3 grips to be too thin, and the feel of the rubber on my bare hands felt yukkie....
so i bought a 50 ft. length of parachute cord from LOWE's, and wrapped my grips with it...
AWESOME was the results...
i did my F3 and FISYPDERs RT and still have a little left....

PS: i have a pair of Kury grips, and tried to install them on my F3, and the throtle grip WILL NOT COME OFF.... wha'sup'wit'dat...?

The correct clamshell Kury grips go on over the rubber stock grip. Only the outer 'flange' is trimmed.
