• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've been researching fuel managers and I understand that to use a power commander 5 with auto tune it requires a bung be welded onto the exhaust. While crawling around under my spyder today I noticed the Y junction then just down from that the O2 sensor and a little further just before the bend there appears to be a threaded fitting with a plug screwed into it. seems to me that this would be a perfect place for the auto tune to plug in saving me a welding job. Being inexperienced in matters such as this, I could be totally off base but thats why I'm here to learn from the masters of all things spyder.

There's one on each pipe and are 10 mm, What their for :dontknow:

When i first got my GS [08] i would run with them open,Did increase performance, But the noise and raspy sound was too much for me, my ears, and my neighbors.:yikes:
 
The 10mm is too small for the auto tune sensor. Check my for sale post out I'm selling my pipe with a bung already installed asking $50 plus shipping the Power Commander V is also still available

Thanks for the info. I'm really not sure if I even want to bother with the auto tune. I have a very basic setup I have a yoshi exhaust that i love and I want to add the green air filter. i get some backfire and popping with deceleration and it it sometimes acts a little sluggish on accel. just want something as user friendly as possible to cure these issues with the lean mixture. plug and play preferable since I don't have a laptop or the knowledge to do any tweaking. Thats not a bad price you have on the PCV.
 
If your looking for user friendly set up then the PCV and auto tune is the way to go. Once you load your map (witch dyno jet makes a map for your particular set up) the auto tune takes over and does all adjustments its self. Its advantage over the juice box is a wider range of precise tuning and believe me once that popping is gone and you feel the boost in power your going to want more lol its an addiction :D

I was told you have to be careful using the stock plug holes in the exhaust (even if they fit) as the angle for a sensor may be wrong.

Most sensors should mount with the tip pointed down to avoid collecting moisture/liquids in the sensor.
