• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Exhaust gaskets and plug wires

Done a little maintenance on my wife's Spyder. Got my plug, and wires from Bajaron. Very good quality. Installed them and then replaced the exhaust gaskets. Put the Honda gaskets in. Found the right side half gone. Bike has 9000 miles on it. Just a little heads up on the springs. I took a piece if nylon rope and looped it in the eye of the spring and pulled up and un-done it in about 15 seconds. Did both sides like this taking off and putting back on. Change out went very well. Bike is a lot quieter now. Getting it ready for the Arkansas trip in July for a week.

My Spyder has 11,000 miles and I did the same thing getting ready for Durango...Put on Ron's plug wires and Honda gaskets...My right side was half gone also...I just grabbed the springs with a channel locks and removed and installed them that way...Runs smoother and quieter...Next time I think I may just cut the zip tie that makes the oxygen sensor wire get stretched during this process and then zip tie it again when i am done...

I know this has been discussed before, but to save myself time searching for it, is there a special part # for the Honda gaskets we need? I have an 08GS SE5. thanks

Wackydan also has a really good install thread just do a search for "exhaust gasket".

Thanks!!! Am in the process of ordering oil kit and plugs and wires from BahaRon. Might as well do it all while she's tore apart :D

Is that part number good as wellfor the RT.. Done everything else to the exhaust, might as well change the gasket and get away from failing OEM parts..

I was told they only work on the GS/RS,
Not the RT, maybe someone else can chime in and double check.:dontknow:

No, the gaskets and the severity of the problem are restricted to the GS/RS.
