• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

EPA Stamp pending in Kalifornia

Too bad I don't know anyone that can print labels..... ;):roflblack:

Seriously though.... since it says it's a secondary offense .... meaning you have to be pulled over for something else first. I doubt any of us Spyder owners have much to worry about.

BRP will make sure they will pass such tests before selling them.... as far as aftermarket pipes..... they're mostly illegal now anyways....... BRP made this very clear for the Hindle... as do all other aftermarket pipes.

Hell I know mines loud lol. Secondary offense means nothing though... I could find PC for stop on a vehicle with my eyes closed... Then tack on the ordinance violation.

I agree almost all are illegal now anyway. Just don't take mine away lol :(

just another case of revenue enhancement!

Bingo.

The sad part is, a lot of the motorcycle owners out here go for the louder pipes because it actually helps keep them alive. A lot of times in the freeway traffic, it helps if the cagers can hear you coming. (I don't worry about being louder because the Spyder is so much more visible)

Contrary to popular belief, a lot of LEOs look the other way in regards to loud pipes. Many ride as well. The HMF is as loud as I could tolerate. Id ideally knock it down a small amount, but not to the degree of a stock pipe.

The Yosh pipe is quieter than the stocker…...

Maybe on the RT... my R-77 on the RS is definitely louder than the stock exhaust, even with the quieting insert installed.

Dunno if it's over 85 db, but I can't see how it wouldn't be. Hopefully I'll never test it out.

85db is ridiculous IMHO. On the side of your stock muffler (at least on the RS) they have all the compliance junk and an 80db rating. At 80db my wife's sewing machine had more bite. Cap it at 100db. Wish I made the laws lol
