• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Engine Light on.

The engine light came on when I was getting ready to leave the house the other morning. Seeing the handle bar light saying check the DPS. Not sure what the next step is. Manual says take it to the dealer. I checked the voltage of the battery and it is 12.7. Is there something else I can do before having to take it in.

Please give us some more info to go on, like ........

Year, model/trim level, mods you've added, miles, does the light stay on or only came on once & have you checked for codes & if so, were there any? The more info we have to work with, the better the direction we can point you in.

To check for Codes on an RT you push the Mode, Set & Turn Signal Cancel Button (Push In) all 3 at the same time with either the key in the on position or the machine running and if done correctly, your center LCD display should go blank or show you a code ..... something like PU0113 ;)

2010 RTS SE5. 27,000 mi. Mod, Kewl metal air intake, Baja Rons plugs and wires. Codes P0552 P0551. I have also had a brake code for a while C1282.. I have been working on that. I have restarted the bike on different days and have removed the key and tried that also.

Can I ride without the power steering? Most of my riding is at highway speeds where the power steering kicks out.
