• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

998cc Engine light on, Fault code P1030

Well, just got the proverbial orange screen of death on my '12 RT-Limited SE5, though no issues performance wise. Two weeks ago I had just installed: JT air filter system, Baja Ron spark plugs and wires, and a new battery. The first day I took it out (short 5 miles cause it was COLD) there wasn't an issue. Today I rode it around the block, again no issues. Decided to go for a decent ride after that. Geared up, started fine....THEN it happened: Check Engine Light indicators all over the place. Guess they want to get your attention, huh? Anywho, rode anyway with no issues other than that. Pulled code when I got home: P1030. Any suggestions on actions to clear this? Also, before I forget, it's old gas in it, but did put stabilizer in it when I shut the bike down for the winter. Appreciate any help.

Oxygen Sensor signal error (fault)

Damaged sensor or damaged circuit wires connecting to ECM

check fuse

Best i can help with.

Oscar. These are heated O2 sensors. So, on the 2012, P1030 is a an error for the heater circuit for the FRONT cylinder O2 sensor. It's not the actual sensor output signal error. And you just got done installing JT's air filter. If you disconnected any wire harnesses in order to remove all of those intake components up front, going back and taking another look at that would be the first place to start. Make sure that plug is connected / reconnected fully. No bent pins in it. Inspect the harness in the area where you were working to ensure no damage. It takes a few minutes for heated O2 sensors to come on line, although a lot less time than unheated sensors. That may explain why the code didn't set during the short ride.

You nailed it! Thank you! Found connector not reconnected upon installation...my fault as I was getting burnt out with the whole process (much easier to change plugs, etc on a Harley). My frustration level was being pressed...I've heard that happens alot for DIY'ers working on the Spyder. Once again, appreciate the input from you and Cruzer Joe.
