• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

will a spyder rt fit in a 5x12 or does it need to be a 6 x 12 also will a 6 cylinder ford escape be able to pull one safely

More likely a 6.5x12 or 7x12. What you need to do is measure the clear ramp or tailgate opening. Trailer measurements are nominal, and are often taken backing plate to backing plate on the axle. There is a tremendous amount of variation in what suppliers call them. Don't forget that a cable lift system will take up tailgate room, too. It is best to measure. My trailer is a 7x12, but the clear opening is just under six feet. You need 62" for an RT or a couple less for an RS...plus room to safely maneuver.

I have a 7x12 and would not go any smaller for getting around the machine when strapping and unstrapping. Not quite worth two cents.......:)

I have a legend enclosed that is 7' wide and I don't think I would want any smaller of an opening to navigate.

I just went and measured the actual opening on my "7 foot" trailer and it's exactly 6 foot wide

Not much to add here that hasn't already been said. 7' minimum width, just because it may fit in the box doesn't mean it will fit through the door.

One thing I would recommend that never gets mentioned. If you are buying an enclosed trailer get a snowmobile trailer instead of a motorcycle or cargo trailer. The snowmobile trailer has a drop down door in the V nose that can be handy when strapping the Spyder down or loading and unloading stuff that may be stored in the nose of the trailer.

Single axle; or tandem? :dontknow:
Any preferences??
I'm confused by your question. Was in intended for the OP or just a general question to all.

No expert but I think that depends on length or weight possibly. I'm sure Scotty would know.

One thing I think I know is if you have tandem axles, trailer brakes are required.:dontknow:

I'm not sure why I'm posting this reply. I really didn't say anything meaningful.
