• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Elka shockks on 2014 RT

Removed the Elkas from my 2013 RT before I traded it in and reinstalled them on the 2014 RT. Called Elka before I did it and they sent me new heavier springs and told me to set the preload at three turns on the collars after the collars just touch the springs. Forgot to measure the ride height before I changed the shocks. Anyway the front looks lower or maybe its my imagination. Anybody setup their Elkas for the 2014 RT? Just did it this afternoon so havent riden it yet. Going by the dealer tomorrow and measure the ride height on a stock RT just to satisfy myself that I have enough preload. Any comments ?

I moved mine over from my 13 to my new 14. I did not have to get new springs for mine but I already had the heavier springs on my 13 however I did crank the collars down. I measured my 14 and the ride height went up by 1 7/8 inches. Great improvement in ride as well as handling, love em...

If your ride height changes, don't forget to adjust your headlights. I had Elkas installed @ Cowtown @ the last SpyderFest held there & they adjusted the headlights afterwards.
