and I have a new rear tire and rear brake pads. I ordered a Kumho from Discount Tire for $80.00 yesterday and they called this morning and said it was in. It took a couple of hours to get the rear wheel off and most of that time was fighting with the trailer hitch. We took the wheel to Discount Tire and they said they couldn't mount the new one because the cush drive and brake rotor are proud of the rim and it wouldn't fit on their equipment.
So we took it to a nearby motorcycle shop and they said they thought they could do it. They couldn't balance it but I didn't care as I had bought Ride-On. We went out for lunch and the tire was ready when we went back. $32.00 to mount it. The wheel went back on pretty easily but the brake pads were another story.
We couldn't get the new pads on as we had a hard time compressing the piston in the caliper to giive us sufficient clearance for the new pads. A few hours later we are all done. I'm waiting until daylight for a test drive. I don't have life insurance so I'm not worried that my husband tried any funny business!
Now I need a manicure (but I always need one) and I've got some greasy clothes but I know I saved a bunch of money. Next up are the front brake pads.
