• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Electric Frunk Swithc on 2010 RT

I have a 2010 RT, and was looking earlier and noticed that the electric switch on the rocker panel does not release the frunk, but pushing the key in and turning of the key will unlock the frunk. Any ideas?

Frunk unlock

Had the same problem once. Dealer found the frunk switch was bad, replaced under warranty.

I just bought this 2 weeks ago, and they paid for an extended warranty ti July of 2017, and in the process of transferring the warranty into my name. I wonder if that will be covered under the extended warranty once it is switched to me.

Open up your Frunklid, and take a look at the right-hand side opening, up at the top (back) edge. You should see a small "arm" with a roller, sticking out through a slot in the bodywork. If that has been bent out of place; nothing operates. nojoke
You can remove the bodywork that it sticks through, and GENTLY tweak it back into it's correct shape and location...

My mistake. You have to have the bike running to operate it. I thought as long as the key was in the "On" position, it would work.

Another question, I do not have the compressor for the rear shock, so I have to put it in myself by way of the schrader valve under the seat. I am checking it once in a while to make sure it is alright.
Last night I had the bike running, and I turned it off, and all of a sudden I noticed on the left side of the LCD screen there was a bar graph showing a shock at the top and bottom of this display showing that I was pressurized 1 notch from the top. I turned the bike on and off several times and each time I shut it off it was displayed on that left side. Never had seen this before.
I just tried right now to do the same thing I did last night, and no display of the shock anymore, what's up with that?

What you saw was literally a, "Ghost in the machine"...
For some unknown reason, the RTs will (every once in a while), throw that up on the screen. Even though nothing is hooked to anything! :dontknow:

And the Frunklid... If you have a 2010: that catches everyone, at one time or another! For 2011, they changed the wiring to allow for just a turn of the key to power up the switch!

Did you Spyder come with an Owners Manual? Most of what you are looking for is in there and if you didn't get one you can read it online or download it at www.can-am.brp.com

Yes, there is a fuse box in the front trunk, remove the liner and you will see it.
