• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello everyone,
Well I did it I am now the very very proud owner of a 2011 RT LTD in beautiful white and I can barely contain my excitement. Having never actually seen one in real life before buying it, I can only say it has exceeded any and all expectations I had. It is just a thing of beauty!!! I am so delighted I took the plunge and I know I will have lots of questions in the coming weeks to ask of everyone here and the very helpful people on UKSPYDERWEB. Living in Ireland I will have to ride an hour and a half to the ferry and then four hours on the ferry before about a six hour ride to the dealer in the UK, but the great people on UKSPYDERWEB even offered to organise a ride out when I come over so that I wouldn't do the full ride to the dealer alone. I think that says it all - what a lovely bunch of people Spyder owners are :thumbup:

I have read the Do's and Dont's (very informative and a big thank you to those who contributed to all that information for us newbies) and had my first ride over the weekend and all I can say is WOW WOW WOW:yes:

I am a little over 3 weeks into my new spyder purchase and the folks here educate me on a daily basis. I'd love to see some pix of that brand new RT of yours:clap:

What a drive to get to a dealer! And we sometimes complain if we have to travel more than an hour.

When you send photos make sure show off some of the beautiful Ireland countryside. :clap:
 
Congrats! You will love it. Mine is a 2011 RT also. I have enjoyed it more than I even thought possible. I now have 14K trouble free miles!:yes:
