Early Spring?

Early Spring? I saw about 20 big fat robins in our yard this morning. They were feeding on the seeds from our outdoor plants. The first thing I thought of was, 'Oh, there are the first robins of the season and a sure sign of Spring.' Then I remembered that the Southeastern US was having a snow and ice storm and these poor robins were just flying north to get out of the way of the storm. I hope they stay here, but I believe they will head back south until it gets warmer here. But, here's hoping that this is a sure sign that Spring is not far away!! The Spyder also so the robins and is ready to go for a ride. Don't want to disappoint my Spyder!! :(

I won't see any Robins on the lawn until...................... May????? we still have a lot of snow here in the Northeast. But next week the temps will be in the 20's to 30's and snow. HURRY UP Spring! all of this snow is cutting into my riding time. Deanna

We seem to be having our winter a little late this year. We had snow in the mountains on Sunday and rain in the valley and are looking at more of the same for this weekend.

But before winter returns there is time for a nice Spyder to Needles, CA tomorrow.

We can send you some of our snow here in the Northeast! Deanna

I think we've seen the last of "our" sho nuff cold down here in Flarda. I'm thinking the temps will be in the 80s for bikeweek in Daytona.

No robins here yet. The Magpies have been circling the neighborhood and taunting my cats from the trees near the window. That's new and much earlier than usual.

I will keep my eye out for the robins. Have a feeling they will also be early this year.

No Robins here but hopefully soon!

We have not started the maple Syrup season yet! Way to much snow in the woods. We need warm days, and cool nights for the sap( from Maple Trees) to start flowing. The people who boil the sap work long hours, take care of the sugar lines that are go directly into the sugar house, and it becomes maple syrup. Deanna

Robins, tons of gold finches, house finches and purple finches, some black birds, towees. They're all in our yard. Have been for some time now. I have to fill the feeders every day. Sometimes twice a day.

We survived snowmageddon. We were supposed to get hammered last evening and overnight. Here is what we got.

No..!!

I'm saying nothing....:roflblack: but follow the robins...they know where to hang out...

I don't think our birds left this year - we have had two frosty days (that's frost, not snow). No flakes, no ice... rain's no big thing up here, we get it all the time, all year long, but it's been riding weather almost all winter.

There's a cold front coming through this week, and dropping the snow level to 6000 feet. Our snow pack between 4000 and 6000 feet is zero, and our day time temps will be in the mid to upper 50s...

I agree. What crazy weather. I plowed snow when winter began and nothing since. Early birds here also. Might as well take the plow off. Been riding several times already.

Like a few others, snowblowed a couple times the first part of the winter, have ridden several times each month all winter long. February we have been out a half dozen times and again tomorrow. Temp got up to 55 one day, usually in the mid to upper 40's. Next week is to get into the 30's for highs for a few days. Have tightened battery cables, checked tire pressure and done a clean-up, time to go riding!!!! Managed to get 7,000 on it since I got it the end of April last year and plan to put a whole lot more on this year. You guys back east will be clear of snow maybe in July if those storms keep up! One of these years you folks will get to pity us when we are buried-NOT! Anyway Happy Riding!!!!

I like your 'blue' graphics. Where did you get them, or have them applied?

I like your 'blue' graphics. Where did you get them, or have them applied?

Got the blue Sceptre kit from Pete at wrapmyspyder.com who is a spyderlovers sponsor. These are reflective ones, he also has the none reflective. I applied these myself having done a little bit of this type of application previously. It is a bit time consuming measuring and measuring again to get both sides the same, a good graphics shop can put them on for you at a cost of course. Pete is coming out with new kits all the time so check him out. Several of my friends have gotten kits from Pete and all have been very happy.

I live in northeast Alabama, just had a 10" snow fall in the last 36 hours and next week weatherman predicts temps as high as mid 60's. So hopefully spring is on its way. Ready to ride:ohyea:
