• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sooo...this IS off topic for sure....is there any drummers on this board? I have a question...has anybody ever removed the wrap on the drum shells to re-wrap? If so ,was it a problem to remove? I have some scuffs & scratches on the shells & i would like to rewrap . thank you for any help.

Not a drummer--but

My oldest friend is " the Drum Doc" . We have built drum sets-- they actually sounded very solid because ofthe mounting system he designed and I built. We used wood drum shells and painted them whatever color the buyer wanted ( they were not cheap!) - it's just tedious to remove the laminate layer ( has to be perfect to re-laminate) .
It would be tough to match the other drum shells unless you do them all. If your doing a metal laminate it must be rolled first. Might be easier to disasemble and repaint ( automotive candy colours:yikes: ) . Do ya enjoy tuning all those drum heads???

Good luck,

Kaos
