• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

driver backrest

Chuck, there is a Utopia backrest available and I believe that Corbin and Ultimate both make driver's backrests for their seats. I don't think that BRP makes a driver's , yet.

The "teaser" video for 2014 showed a folding drivers back rest as well as a heated version of the :spyder2: seat. Other brand seats have backrest options as well as the Utopia which does work on the BRP seats.

My wife has plenty of room with my Utopia and she is not a small lady only short lady if you know what I mean. I suggest getting the leather post cover for $18 with it, it does a good job of covering and padding the post. I like mine adjusted forward so my arms can stay bent on the bars instead of straight out. I guess I am short armed. ;) My only complaint with it I fixed today. Using the knob screw to tighten it was not enough to stop a little side to side wobble I did not like. I used some channel locks on it and it was better but there was still a little wobble between the 2 posts. I had a little bit of stick on LED strip laying around so I pulled the 3M sticky tape off of it and put 2 pieces on the top of the post. I re tightened it and popped the screw knob off :yikes: It turned out it is mounted on an Allen bolt so I got my wrenches out, cranked it tight, and it is 100 % solid now. The supplier said the removable one will have some wobble in it. Glad he did tell me because I was going to order it now I will just stick with what I have. I fold it forward to mount, then the wife mounts and pulls it back. Easy peasey. I really like it though it has solved my back pain issue from leaning over and gives the wife another bag to stuff things in :roflblack:

Yes the video did show a backrest accessory coming out it looked a lot like the Utopia mounted in the same spot. It looked a little smaller, pad wise, because it folded flat to the rear seat mine will only do that if I adjust it up but I like it on my lower back. Could not tell if it was adjustable up and down, forward and back like the Utopia from the video. It also did not look like it had the storage bag Utopia has too.
