Down shifting issue

I wonder if any other SE5 system owner has this issue: my 2011 RS sometimes does not automatically rev up, as it should, to match the engine and gear box speeds. This is really annoying as I can feel my rear tire skidding when I down shift hard. Then, after I have arrived and turned the bike off, the system might go back to work normally or not. Could it be my computer needs updating?
