Does Changing peg position on 23 F3-T need a longer brake rod?

Okay, so I picked up my Spyder and the pegs are in position 3, which I’m assuming is the factory position. I want to move them to position 5. In order to do that, does it require a longer brake bar? Thanks, Pikester

Yes, it requires a position 5 brake rod. While you are looking at this, also consider the current height of the brake pedal. Many riders find it too high to transition to easily. If this is the case for you, Lamonster make a position 5 brake rod that is fractionally shorter, which lowers the pedal a little ;)

Thanks Pete! As soon as I posted, I did a search and found the answer, but I will look @ Lamonsters. Thanks again.

Also, it’s going to be a long, 9 hour ride home tomorrow in position 3*.

My F3 had a 3 on it when I got it. It was a bit close for my 34 ISL.

I made a 5 but decided it was sorta ok.

Then I bought one of those SE Performance Adjustable adjustable ones.

Just right with the pedal where I prefer it.

If the trouble and strive wants to ride the F3 I can quickly sort it for her.

I’m thinking the same thing, and I’m leaning towards the ultimate floorboards from value accessories. They look sturdy and provide the largest platform for my size 14’s and they claim I won’t need highway pegs with their floorboards.

I love my Ultimate floorboards. They make for a very comfortable ride... Yes you do not need any Highway pegs. Just move your feet where ever you want, kick your heels up on the Front edge of the boards and enjoy. Also make it really easy for mounting and dismounting your trike.

Thanks RiderDuke! Are they as sturdy as they look?

Apple's with apples.

I see some F3 come with just a peg.

Mine came with a floorboard. I fitted the 3rd peg to assist getting off. Works for me.

I did look at the Ultimate Floorboard but it was a bit too pricey for me.
However they look like a good bit of kit.

I put the F3 Ultimate's on my F3S,and I swear by them. I'm 6'-1" 225 lbs with a 32" inseam ,and I'm on position 3 on the ufit holes. Works for me. Very sturdy, and make mounting the bike gymnastics a thing of the past.
