• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DOC Fees Phoenix Area

When to purchase a trailer to haul my Spyder from a Motorcycle Dealer in the Phoenix area yesterday. I was happy with price and said I'll take it. He handed me the purchase order for payment and he had added on $350.00 for DOC fees on a 3,000.00 trailer I said that's to much he would not lower the DOC fees. I left.

DOC FEE'S

.......$ 350.00 for less than 1/2 hr. work is pretty darn steep......good on you that you walked :thumbup::thumbup:........Rapists should ALL BURN IN H*LL ............jmho ......Mike

When I traded for NEW the Doc Fee was $125. And right on that line of the State-supplied form, the fine print says: (May Not Exceed $50). :banghead:

I've learned to specifically negotiate the "out the door" price just for this reason...a dealership I've purchased numerous vehicles from (friends with one of the salesmen) charges $350 on every sale, non negotiable, per the owner, so I always clearly state we are negotiating the "out the door" price on any sale.

They will try and get you wherever they can. Its not about making a fair profit its about making a maximum profit. If they could get people to pay $1000 for doc fees i bet they would. $3000 is why i dont have a trailer yet to haul my spyder though, even though i would eventually like one. Keeping me eyes open :)

Try Big Tex on broadway in Mesa Jim. $350 is pretty standard in AZ but you can negotiate it if you stick to your guns. Cars, MC, Trailers or anything that is is registered in AZ.

What a rip.

I live in the NW valley and bought a 7' x16' enclosed to haul my :spyder2:in. Paid trailer cost, taxes, and MVA fees for registration and tags. No DOC fees. Check out Jackssons Trailers on Grand Ave in Glendale. Nice guys to deal with.
