• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We used to call them Plastic Pigs! They were useful though. If you didn't have a car licence, as many
bikers didn't then, you could drive one of these on a bike licence. Most of the bikers I knew, who had one,
had the van version.....

.....you could get a motorcycle in the back if you took off the front wheel.
In post-war England many ordinary people couldn't afford a car and this was a very cheap solution.
I remember that the going price for a working, legal, ten year old van was around $150!
The Reliant company became the second largest car manufacturer in the UK at one point! OH!!! The US Embassy in London had three Reliants!
For more fascinating stuff take a look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reliant

BUT the coolest Reliant was the Bond Bug (Bond was a company that was acquired by Reliant)

I would drive one of these!

 Thanks for this background information!
And to think, that most foiks over here only know about them because the "Top Gear" guys, liked to roll them over so much! :roflblack:

New pics above^^

Bob, the whole Top Gear thing was a charade! They fitted a 12" wheel to one side at the rear and a 13" to the other rear
and a 15" wheel to the front hence it was extremely easy to roll!
