• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. DIY Cup holder for rear trunk

My morning commute to work normally includes a stop at Starbucks and since I don't like the handlebar cup holders I usually prop my cup in the rear trunk of my RT.
Recently I had a spill on my way to work and so I decided to find a safer way to transport my hot coffee.

Using a leftover of something called "Coroplast" or corrugated plastic I bought some time ago from a sign shop I cut a two-cup tray and added velcro so it's easy to put together and dismantle if I need to.

Here are some pics:

Nicely done...

should solve the spill problem as long as the lids are on tight... nice feature is it is colapseable and can be stored out of the way when not in use....

I think that I'm missing something here... Is that designed to nestle down into the bottom of the top trunk? :dontknow:
I LIKE you idea!
(But we also carry Thermoses...)

Yes, it goes at the bottom of the trunk.
And I can take it out and folded away when I don't need it.

Yeah, thermoses... didn't think of that... oh well! ;-)

Thanks for the clarification!
The Missus and I just don't have any handy coffee shops around here. (Or even any un-handy ones!)
So we just start out by carrying what we need! :D :coffee::coffee:

It really is a clever idea and proves you don't need to spend big bucks on Farkles. The only draw-back I see is, it seems to be difficult to reach the cups while riding.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Did I spel Farkles rite?:yikes:

COROPLAST

Nice project :thumbup::thumbup:.........This also known as CORFAM and it's pretty amazing stuff. I was thinking about making a " Teardrop " style trailer ... and using this as the cover on the frame. It comes in different sheet sizes, thicknesses and strengths. Also which way it will BEND .....for shaping purposes. They even make Green Houses from it - it's can be that strong........ just sayin....... Mike

Good diy[emoji106]. I like coroplast for RC airplane builds & making firm templates or stencils. Also scraps are good for credit card size spare key holders

Velcro's down, adjustable fits various size containers even as big as 64oz theater cups. Great for most 2go cups I tend to just refill my Yetti tumbler tho. Works great for me. :)
