• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Digital RT gauges installed

I just completed installing for a customer a pair of digital blue LED gauges.
They came from VEISystems.com I have no connection to the company.
Click the photo to enlarge.

For new RT owners, if you disconnect the original round fuel and temp gauges,
the LCD bar graph versions appear automatically! See photo.

Voltmeter (with settable hi and low voltage alarms, day and night lighting, and dedicated wire to measure voltage
right at the battery) and Clock (with alarm and day and night lighting). Their housing are very shallow and fit perfectly
in the existing holes. The hardest part was finding and installing the setting switches so they wouldn't look obnoxious.

Yes, there are a wide variety of gauges, from VEI Systems and many other vendors. Anything that's 2 1/16" diameter,
a standard automotive gauge size. We chose VEI because the customer wanted blue LEDs, black background and
bright bezel trim.

Waterproof? I'll put it this way: When I told the vendor the gauges were going on a motorcycle,
they said that, for free, they'll seal the front (where the setting switch would normally be) and add
a wire on the back to adjust the settings (grounding this wire through a switch adjusts the settings).
I take that as "okay to use in the rain," but I did not ask that question outright; you should confirm with
the vendor first. www.VEISystems.com (or whatever vendor you get your gauges from).

Question ref original oil pressure sending unit for the warning light

I think this is a great idea. If I chose the oil pressure guage, do you know the size thread for the original warning light sending unit? I saw it referenced in a diagram, but no thread info. I'm sure it needs a T so you can still have the original oil pressure warning light, which is probably metric - the VEISystem sending unit is not. The computer system would no doubt throw me off the bike and stomp on my vital parts if I disconnected the warning light.:(

Thanks - appreciate your sharing this info.

10mm.

FYI: i recommend that you purchase a 10mm to 1/8 NPT adapter to screw into your engine.
