• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Differences SM5 08 versus 09 models

I would like to know the differences in part improvements between 08 and 09 SM5 model years. Reason: Would like to retrofit my 08 with improved 09 parts.

I have read: 1. Fuel line plus other lines having additional cover to protect from rubbing/heat of engine. 2. Relay box cover better seating of relays maintained. 3. Larger capacity cooling fan.

Anyone know of other part improvements?

Not all of these are absolutes...I have a 2008 and mine has the coverings...as far as the relays go, I don't have a problem...they are as tight as can be...as far as the cooling fan, the bike runs cool (see Lamonster's post) so I'm not sure you really need to play with that...

Well Mr. Bonecrusher you are one of the lucky ones. My 08 does not have a fuel line cover and there are some 08's that have cooling issues and are getting new fan under warranty, and my cover over relays sucks - so there- put that in your pipe and smoke it:D
