Last summer I mentioned the sweet spot in a thread but I think I discovered a new one.
I was running route 83 south from New Concord, OH south towards Hocking Hills last weekend. Great road full of sweepers and twisties. Something happened I've just been running through my mind for days. I agressively hit a right hand, banked turn and about a third the way into it while I had full weight transfer on the right side of the Spyder the right front wheel came up about 10 inches and stayed there. I felt completely under control and the wheel stay off the ground for approximately 30-40 feet. No nanny, no ABS, just a nice smooth transition. The wheel came down as softly as it came up when I exited the turn. Just wished I had a pix. I think the banking of the road was the key.
Anyone else pushing the envelop like that? I've only done it once and do not condone anyone goes out to try it. :lecturef_smilie:
