Just got confirmation today, Brp is delaying shipments on all Rts for several weeks for additional quality assurance checks in 14 Spyder Rts looks like end of December January now.

Also posted in a couple other threads now.

The good side: If true, BRP has decided to ship a quality product down the road, and not have dealers and customers deal with things as they happen. That is already an improvement--IMO.

I was one of the earlier ones when the 2013's came out. I didn't get mine until December 28th. The only earlier one that I know of was a fella from Kissimmee, Flarda, and he got his about a week earlier. Additionally, I didn't get my 2010 RT-S until January 12th. Getting a spyder in November is what I would call out of the norm. I was very shocked when I heard that November was mentioned or promised as a delivery date.

Also agree. I waited 7 months for my 2008 and 5 months for my 2010. Deposits were placed in December of prior years.

Well your just full of good news. My 14 was supposed to be here this week and dealer told me next week. Might be next week till january.

That's strange. They've never done all the assurance in the past.

Interesting..!!

turn of events..fell for all those sitting on pins and needles..!! :roflblack: that's mean...

It would be nice if someone at BRP would put out an "official" statement on why they are delayed and when they expect them to ship. Last week it was early Nov. Now its Dec/Jan. Of course its all speculation until BRP says anything (which I doubt they will).

The dealer who is located in front of the assembly plant in Valcourt (Québec) will receive his first ordered RT in the second week of January.... So...

That's because they send all the completed Spyders to Mexico so they can install the caps on the tire valve stems.

Waiting to hear from Brp , dealer told me production starts in two weeks then they start shipping so hopefully ( the key word) by end of December.

Good night yall

I really am sorry to hear about the delay. It is a bummer when you have your hopes up and have to wait additional time. As I mentioned earlier, if its to make sure that a quality product is shipped the first time, it will go a long way to avoiding some of the problems that people experienced with the 2013's.

Also agree that an "official" announcement from BRP might help. I am guessing not--because that would admit everything is not perfect. Hope I am wrong though.

That's to bad about the January delivery dates. Unless your in a warm climate, it's not riding season until spring. I agree an announcement from BRP/ Can Am would be the right thing to do. Always be honest right up front. Good luck guys and gals. When I asked about the 14's, I was told late November to early December. Looks like that has all changed.:spyder2:
