• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

deer hit, just spyder damage

Caught a group of at least 4 deer coming left to right at about 2100 hours , the 2nd one in the group caught my left fender and shot me in the ditch but i got out of it after I was sliding around in the grass and gravel for 50 yards.

Got lucky, hopefully everyone else does

it was 8 years today that deer in the road put me in a wheelchair, spyder got me back on the road, almost all owners are the reason the events like spyderfest are the best time.

SethO, I'm sorry you had another deer encounter. Looks like the damage is minimal which is good. Hope you get it fixed up soon.

Very happy to hear you are ok. I have done in two with Goldwings. Reason I have a Spyder. Again glad you are ok.

Glad you are OK - sounds like the Spyder took the hit for you. As others have said, the Spyder can be repaired, and again, glad you are OK!

Hi Seth,
Sorry to hear that you've had to post this...
But it's always good to know that you're around and out there...
No damage to the LF suspension? The Elka looked to be intact, and not leaking.
Here's to hoping that the repairs are accomplished quickly, and with a minimum of hassle!

So thankful you are OK...

Thanks for sharing and keeping us alert on the deer out there when we are riding.

SO thankful that you are OK.

Yikes..!!

Glad your alright and your ryde is all fixable. Make sure you get a good re-alignment and clean your sprokets well..

Glad to hear you came out of it relatively unscathed. I'll just add- You can't keep a good man down.
