• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dead Battery

I have a 2012 RT. It has a dead battery. Can I jump start with my car? I do not have a charger or battery tender. Just wanting to know soon. Thanks.

For sure..!!

you have the posts under the seat like Scotty said. Once started run it to a auto/bike store and have it charged and checked. You could also run/ride it for a good while and see if you can charge it up that way..good luck...

If you jump start it , make sure you are near a power source before you shut it off, encase you have a truly dead battery.

under the seat?

I have similar issue. I should be looking under the seat for a positve (+) connection somewhere. Any chance a picture of this could be added here?

It depends on what model and year your ride is. On the 2013 RT LTD the battery is in the Frunk. So you will not find any + lead under the seat.

hmmm.

I have a 2013 RT-S. Looks like I will need to try and figure out how to safely remove the tupperware in the Frunk to get to the battery. I'm not good with Plastic pieces.

I know I could go out and buy a battery tender and run it in to the adapter in the trunk. Maybe if the tupperware scares me away I will go buy one.

Thanks!

It wasn't that bad!

removing the service cover wasn't that hard at all. I thought it was going to be, but a simple screwdriver to remove the one little plastic tab was all it took.
It's hooked up to my battery charger now.
Thanks!
