This day started off with tragic news about Japan's earthquake and tsunami, that started my day on a somber note. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all involved in this disaster.
Had breakfast with my buddy Don and he decided to head back home as I guess he didn't book an extra night like he thought he did and they wanted crazy money at the hotels that did have rooms. It was good to spend some time with him seeing Daytona is about the only time we get a chance to hangout.
When I got to the BRP tent there was already a good group there looking around and signing up for demo rides.

I thought this was a pretty cool looking Spyder.
Later in the afternoon the FL Hooligans showed up and hung out with us a while.

It was a long day and I needed to get back to the hotel and get some work done but just before I left I got a call from Matt McManus from BRP and he wanted to know if I had a jump box with me, I did and he came and got it but he soon came back to tell me it was dead. I was sorry to hear that but glad to know it wasn't holding a charge so I can get a new one for my big trip. Matt did have jumper cables so I rode over to where he was and I was expecting to be jumping a dead Spyder, instead it was a dead Indian. Matt was walking through the parking lot and saw this guy needed help and did all he could to help, I thought that was really cool and it shows his character as a rider and not just a Spyder/BRP rep. That's what it's all about guys. We got him running and he was very thankful.
After I got some work done I made some calls but couldn't find anyone to eat dinner with so I headed over to Woodys BBQ and had some brisket. On the way there I saw what I think might have been some sort of rocket or space shuttle launch, whatever it was it looked cool.
Didn't feel like doing anything thing else that night so I headed back to the hotel and got caught up on some more work and watched a little news. I'll report back after the Daytona owners event is over.
