• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Daylight Saving Time - Make sure to adjust your Spyder clocks - Spring Ahead!

The clock on mine is so inaccurate that I just started ignoring it.
We had watches 30 years ago that would keep time within a couple minutes a year. You'd think BRP could build in a clock that would do better than a minute a week. 🙄
Yeah, I have a Casio quartz watch that is about that good. And it cost me a LOT more than BRP paid for the clock in the Spyder.

Digital clocks typically use a quartz crystal oscillator. It's pretty easy to get +/- 20 ppm at room temperature out of these. But over the temperature range that is normal for vehicles, +/- 100 ppm is more likely. One minute of drift per week is about 99 ppm.

Still playing with the new one, and when I went out for a tiny ride yesterday I noticed it was incorrect, but after I got home and plugged my phone in to play with the Car Play settings and add my helmet and whatnot, it reset automatically. Not sure if it stayed set, but I'll check that on the next ride.

I don’t have to adjust my Spyder's clock, as it gains 10 minutes a month or more.
You don’t say which model or year you have, Happy, but I assume it is pre 2018 or so. They finally got the clocks working accurately around then. (My ‘16 F3-L clock was just like yours)

I just leave my clock alone. Even though Utah observes DST, I don't bother to change either my truck or my Spyder. I know they are an hour off and I just compensate.

Update, time didn't stay fixed. Went out today and it was wrong, once I plugged my phone it, it was right. Unplugged phone, back to wrong. So I had to go into settings and actually fix it. Assuming it was just the CarPlay clock that was right by pulling from my phone, not the internal Spyder time. All fixed now though.
