• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Day Twelve Cheyenne to Alaska an Return

We left the hotel in the sky all decked out for a chilly ride to Anchorage, barely made it ten miles before we discovered tht not only was it chilly but it had started to rain. Road highway 3 turned out to be a nice road with only minimal construction delays and road glitches. Once again the trees formed a corridor for us to ride through and protected us from an intermittant annoying cross wind. The ride in the rain was actually kinda pleasant since we had the road to ourselves or maybe we are getting acclimated to the Alaska mystic: RAIN. We can't be sniviling we've had great weather so far. When we arrived in Anchorage we touched base with aksypderman and got set up with a motel in Eagle River and also got Russ set up with the Honda Dealer and me set up with the local Can-Am dealer both of us having a mid-trip checkup, maybe not really necessary but better safe than sorry since we've gone 3800 miles since leaving Cheyenne and some of the travel on less than perfect roads. I still can't believe that I have traveled 3800 miles and have only seen two other Spyders and both of them on the first two days. Where are all you spyder riders and your bikes hiding? Wish we could have spent more time in Denali Natl Park but the weather did not cooperate and our schedule could'nt wait it out. Outside Trapper Creek on highway 3 we ran into our first "Sorry out of gas" sign, thank goodess for a spare can on board for piece of mind, but we didn't have to use it cause a little further down the road we found and unlisted station(fairly new). It still pays to be prepared.Another interesting comment we've heard several times from bystanders when they see the Spyder "we see lots of bikes like yours except they have the two wheels in the back": right on! Zipped right through Wasilla but waved every now and then just in case "Sarah" was watching for us; then it was on to Anchorage. Tomorrow a down day as we both wait on getting the bikes serviced. Friday we plan on going to Seward and see whats there. PS. I still can't get the software to down load so I can use the helmet cam very frustrating.

Now you can double the number of Spyders you'll see on your trip with AKSpyderman's fleet. Are you going on a boat trip in Seward? It is worth it if you have a day to spend on the water.

Thanks for sharing your Adventures with the rest of us

:doorag: Sounds like a GREAT Trip so far :doorag: Hope you get to see more :f_spider:s as you continue ;)

Seward...

I was there in 1999 and Seward is a great place to visit. Nice camping spots right on the waterfront of the bay.
Great fishing here too!
