There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Custom license plates

H folks,

For far more years than I can remember, I have had custom/vanity plates on at least one of my cars.

I 'think' I could have gotten one for the Spyder but the auto plate is pricey enough considering my limited retirement income.

Oregon is limited to no more than 6 digits/letters.

The plate on my car says: LAFFTR

What else might be out there in SpyderLoversLand?

PS) In Oregon all extra monies collected from these types of plates can only be used to clean up the environment. Sounds good to me.

I put my amateur radio call sign on mine. In Oregon, it's cheap, just $10, instead of the outrageous custom plate fees.

Jerry,
How many numbers and letter can you put on a motorcycle plate in your State? :dontknow:
In New York: we only get 6 characters to work with...

No vanity plate on the Spyder, not enough letters for me to come up with something that would make sense to people. When I read vanity plates most of them go right over my head. I have no clue what they're trying to convey.

I almost got "RAM 4X4" for my 2002 Dodge truck years back. Glad I didn't as I hated that truck and traded it in on a '05 Ford just a little over two years into ownership.

How about:
RIDE-3
SPYD3R (not available here in New York: I've got it)
or perhaps the year and model of your bike? :dontknow:

Is this directed to me. We have 7 letters for car/truck plates but only 5 for a motorcycle. Everything I tried to come up with was already taken.

Hi Bob,

Re: How many numbers and letter can you put on a motorcycle plate in your State?

Five; mine is all numbers but I do think one can do a custom/vanity plate with letters.

Anything else your inquisitive mind would like to know?

Hi Bob,

Re: SPYDR YOUNG
I'm thinking that says it all for the vast majority of us.
