• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Custom Intake??

It's been a few months ago already since I installed the Kewl Metal Air Cleaner, HMF Exhaust and an HMF EFI Controller.

It took quite a few trial and error adjustments to the EFI Controller before I got it dialed in. However one day I found the magic settings and my Spyder is running like a raped Ape.

Performance gains through the RPM Range have been pretty substantial. She pulls really strong! The cough's and sputters are gone except a couple when the engine is cold and first starting out. I still have a little backfiring through the exhaust on high speed off throttle, so she may be still running a little lean. However without doing a re-map I've achieved some pretty nice results.

I'm very happy with the outcome! The air intake is a noisy little rascal, but I've actually come to really like it.

Remember when we were kid's and we used to flip the air cleaner lid on our cars. The sound brings back nice memories. :ohyea:

It's nice to take the panels off and actually see that there is a pretty nice looking V Twin in there.

Rather than trying to cut and saw, chop up and modify the stock box, I would strongly recommend spending the bucks and try my choices of Mod's or something similar.

The HMF Exhaust has a Sweet Growl....almost sounds like a Harley.

I've seen a large increase of Spyder's on the road here in SW Florida!

Others are discovering just how much fun this Machine is to ride! I know I sure enjoy mine! :yes:

Care to share your settings?

Some have stated that Kewlmetal isn't shipping intakes anymore......someone posted that 3 weeks went buy without any response so they cancelled their order. The Evoluzione kits are also no longer available--- which is what I have along with an HMF and a juice box.

Not sure if the HMF unit is made by Juice Box and works the same-- but it looks identical....

:agree: My setup is similar, just different brands but the same good results, now going on 2 years, have never looked back....BTW nice paint!

The HMF EFI Tuner is made by Dobeck. Good Company....Good Track Record.

Here are my three settings.....

1......=4.5

2......= 4.5

3.......= 5

I probably tried every possible combination, which takes time because you have to test drive each setting. Pain in the Ass.

These are the numbers that worked best for me. Certainly worth a try.
