• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cruise won't work below 50MPH

Today I could not get my cruise to work at any speed much below 50MPH. At around 50 it would work, under 50 no go. The manual says it should work at any speed above 15MPH. Any ideas what may be the problem.
 
Interesting..!!

Some controls can be set to min/max for operation but that would be a pretty high min. Have to see what those that have and know have to say. Good luck..:thumbup:
 
I can usually activate the cruise at any speed over 30 or so. Mostly use it at 50 or higher.

Sounds like something may be awry. But, make sure you have the :spyder2: in the proper gear and rpms are at about 5000 or so. Maybe it wont kick in because rpms are to low. If that don't work, a trip to the dealer may be in order.

On my 2013 it IS RPM and speed dependent 26mph and higher plus ~3800 RPM minimum any gear.
 
just like he said it gos by what gear your in i set mine at 26 or over but in second gear,rpm iis the answer.:2thumbs::lecturef_smilie:
 
On my 2011 I could lock in at 20 in first gear, about 25 in second. The cruise was rpm controlled so to lock in 3rd you had to be going that much faster.

Now my 2014 is a still a bit of a mystery but I have had it work as low as 15 mph in third but there are times when it gets fussy and does not want to lock in below 26 or so. Yesterday it did that shortly after hitting the road and I relized it was still showing cold on the needle so I wonder if it is temperature or possibly torque driven. A short ways down road it started to lock in at 25 in third gear so I would be interested to hear how the cruise is controlled in the current year.

You might be right and it is only RPM dependent on pre '14. I never tried to put it on in 1st gear and use second going through the neighbor hood so I do not disturb my neighbors ( unlike the idiot Ninja and Harley riders :gaah:) and it will not hold below 26mph due to RPMs.
