• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cruise Controll and Turn Signals

My cruise control cancels when I turn on the turn signal to change lanes.:banghead: Is this common? It's really irritating!

Seiously though... (Can't believe that I said that!)
Should there be any connection between these two systems? :dontknow:
Somebody will have to get on a four-lane; test it, and get back to us!

Must be those Northerners that relocate!:roflblack:
That kind of reminds me of what Casey Stengel (First manager of the NY Mets) said when he was asked when the team might actually start winning some games...Their first year was a TERRIBLE one!
"When we trade some of our players and weaken the rest of the League! "

I have not experienced the turn signals interferring with the cruise control. I use my cruise control a lot.

:agree: Same here. I've been on frwy quite a bit and have not had that issue.

Curious to learn what the issue turns out to be on this one.

...or if your rpm drops too low, or if you pull in (touch) the clutch lever on an SM.
 Never thought of that! Thanks Scotty!

Which Transmission do you have? If you've got the ESSEM; maybe you're laying some fingers across the clutch lever JUST enough to shut the cruise control off? :dontknow:

Mine will self cancel if I hit a bump real hard, but never had an issue with activating the turn signals while using the cruise.

How about increasing the throttle?
Nah.
It will let you accelerate, so to pass or whatever, then you just release and it settles back to where you had it set.

Least that's how mine works.

Just brake, clutch/shift, or turning it directly off cancels it on mine.

Did you install trailer wiring? trailer 3 to 4 wire converter, extra lighting?

I'll bet you will find your answer in one of the above.

Turn signals should not cancel cruise control but a wiring converter will cause this, been there.

May be onto something On his list of mods is a non BRP hitch.

SIGNALS...???

That's a new one...
Do what they do in the Northeast; forget about the turnsignals!! :joke:

NORHTEAST....???
DANG, they haven't a clue what the little lever is on the left side of the steering wheel down here in the Southeast either.... :banghead:

Nope. That works just like cruise in your car, letting you increase throttle at will and remain on cruise.

That happens because the heavy brake pedal jiggles enough to trip the brake light switch. If it happens frequently, teh brake switch may have to be adjusted.

:agree: The Spyder senses the relay in the converter as the brake lights coming on.
