• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cracks in Windshield around bolt holes - replace? OEM or A/mkt?

On my 2013 ST, I have noticed cracks on my windshield coming out around one of the bolts that hold it one. So Should I just order a new one from Can Am? or is there a better aftermarket wind shield available that would be a direct bolt on.

If those cracks arn't objectional, you just drill very small holes at the end of them ( 1/32 or 1/16 th ) ..... this should prevent them from expanding / lengthen ...... I would also loosen the bolts, because this is what caused it ..... good luck .... Mike

sounds like a plan, they are hardly noticeable, so will drill a small hole and check the tightness of the fasteners.

I'm not at all sure that any windscreen off an RS will actually fit on an ST like RangerRick's?? IIRC, the RS's have fixed & integrated windscreens attached directly to the dash cowl, while the ST's have a raised & optionally adjustable windscreen that's mounted on brackets raised above the dash cowl?? :dontknow: Anyone confirm for sure?

That said, I'm sure it'd help Ranger, if you could post a pic or two of the cracks you're concerned about. A few small hairline cracks shouldn't be a problem to ignore; a couple of medium sized cracks may be readily fixable with Super Glue or similar; but even just one large or major crack probably means the screen either needs major re-vamping or it's a throw-away.... And if it's the latter, I'd be going after market over OEM any day - 7Jurock or F4 can probably do replacements, but whether they'd come with suitable brackets is another question to ask?! :dontknow:

Well there's multiple cracks around two of the holes, all 4 are cracked. I would have thought there would have been a rubber piece between the windshield and the metal brackets the windshield bolts two. I'd say at some point 2 of the holes will break out completely. Windshield say's made in USA, but by whom?
