• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Correct headlight bulb for 2014 RTL

I had the dealer install a new head light bulb last year. The invoice says they installed a Halogen HB3 65W bulb. My owners manual says headlight bulb is a Halogen Type H4 60W. The parts person at the dealer says the correct bulb is a Halogen H9 65W.
I have another bulb out and will not pay the dealer another $150 to replace it. I will do it. Which bulb.....?

Go to an auto parts store and buy 9005 halogen bulbs if you don't want to switch to LEDs they are 12V 65W bulbs, exactly what came out of my Spyder when they both burned out within two weeks of each other. You can buy two bulbe at an auto store for the price of one at a dealer and the auto store bulbs are in sealed packaging so you don't run the risk of having a greenhorn parts guy coming out with a halogen bulb in his dirty mitt asking, "Is this what you want?" after he's halved the life of what was once a perfectly good halogen bulb. Since you have to pull off Tupperware on both sides to do a single bulb replace both halogen bulbs at the same time.
