There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Corbin vs BRP

I have the Corbin seat and I find it confortable and so does my wife.

I've set on the BRP seat and it compares to the Corbin very well. If I had it to do again I'd go for the BRP due to the price.

I do like how my Corbin sets off the bike with the yellow piping and the BRP is plain.

Mike

thanks for the input, the brp seat is more $$$$ with the backrest bc of the sport rack that you hafe to buy but i don't care about the $$ as long as the seat is comfortable.....

FYI

Are you sure the BRP with Sport Rack is more $$??

My Dealer said the seat was about $450 and the sport rack with backrest is about $450. My Corbin with both backrests lists about $1100. By the way,
my wife prefers the BRP backrest rather than the Corbin and I rarely use the Corbin backrest.

thanks ya i can get the corbin for 777+ ship..... with the backrest..... and the brp is 450+420 for rack+260 for backrest..... ill spend whatever i just want a good seat.....
thanks for all your info it is helpful

We absolutely love our Corbin seat. I was a little concerned when we ordered it, but the quality and comfort is terrific! :shemademe_smilie: Actually it was my wife's idea as she just wasn't comfortable with the stock seat

and now she really enjoys riding.

The BRP seat is readily avialable from several suppliers for $350 with free shipping. I know because I accidentally ordered them from two different vendors. (the extra is sold already)

I installed mine today and after a short ride, I am very pleased with it!

I didn't mind the BRP seat actually. I have hip and back issues to begin with, so I expect to feel some traveling issues. I can't drive my truck for 8 hours without feeling discomfort.

I bought the Corbin driver and passenger seat, with the driver backrest.

1st outting I was disappointed with the Corbin. I felt a pinch point on my right hip. I read all about needing to put miles on the seat to "break it in".

During a rather aggressive ride around the mountains, I broke to holding pin off. The fiberglas just broke. I returned the seat and the dealer sent it back to Corbin. I truely expected them to replace the seat.

I put the OEM back on. This gave me the opportunity to go back and reflect on the BRP seat, and really feel the differences.

Corbin repaired my seat.:spyder:

Lamonster noted the difference between sitting "on the seat" as opposed to sitting "in the seat". That was a perfect description of the difference.

After several thousand miles, the Corbin feels real good now, for me. Also, while challenging the Tail of the Dragon, I really felt good sliding from side to side across the seat. The BRP seat was too "sticky" for that quick movement needed to attack the turns. On the BRP seat, I felt like I needed to raise up and move across the seat, whereas the Corbin, I could slide. A major difference if the turns are coming at you every 10 seconds.

My passenger feels top heavy and likes the BRP better. The passenger Corbin is not "set down" enough. I need to do what TAT did and remove foam from the passenger seat so she doesn't feel like she's sliding forward. I'm not an upholstry person, so I'm procrastinating.

The backrest, in combination with every attempt to raise and pull back the bars, is not useful unless I'm at speed and operating the bike loosely at my fingertips. I have a "throttle buddy", and can rest my wrist on the throttle and lean back against the backrest. In town, and short trips down the interstate, the backrest is useless.

A combination of the Helibars, Kewlmetal, NMN, and extended throttle cables could make the Corbin backrest uselful. :roflblack:

I'm just saying.

I really like my corbin seat, but the pricing on the BRP seat is kinda sweet. If both had been available when I bought my corbin seat I probably would have had a hard time deciding.

:2thumbs: We love are HEATED corbin seat. Did i say heated, owe ya. It does take about 1,000 miles to form to your butt but when it does, and you will know when it does, it is so comfy. The wife likes the back rest, and we where going to get the drivers back rest as well, but it would make mounting and dismounting awkward at best. Love the products from Corbin as we have the seats, back-rest,hard saddle bags and trunk-box although thier customer service SUCKS big time.

i have corbin HEATED also i had to perform surgery on mine to it apart and ground out about 1" of foam love it now but i ride hard and i kept sliding forward on it ....passenger seat was sent back to corbin and girl hated it so much i bought her a spyder to fix problem ...but she has a butt shaped like a basketball so trying to put a round ball on a flat seat just wasnt working :D

I absolutely LOVE my Corbin seat! It's been perfect since day one! The stock seat was VERY uncomfortable for me. It was tough for me to part with the $$$ for the Corbin, but now that I know what it feels like, I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Plus, it looks great! I like the 2 piece design too. The quallity of the seat is top notch, but the ryde is the BEST! No more sore tailbone for me!!!

There was a post that said there are several vendors that sell the BRP Comfort Seat for $350 including shipping. Would you please tell me the nameof the vendor (s)? I will buy one in an instant.

I just rode 3800 mi. to the Red Carpet event and back on a new BRP Comfort seat. I LOVE IT! My broken tailbone loves it.

Forrest has the Corbin and has complained every mile of the 5000 he has just run.

Where can you get a corbin for $777

I've been looking for a comfortable seat with a drivers backrest and the only one I've found is the Corbin, but I can only find it for around $1,000. Where did you see it for $777?

Definitely NOT the Corbin seats. I'm still asking about the BRP Comfort Seat and the Mono Seat Cowl too. It would be tight if it did.
