Coolant Leak

Hello Gang,
Looks like ole Spidey has sprung a coolant leak. I checked hoses and nothing out of the ordinary. While plastic was off I started bike and let it run for a few minutes then cut it off so I can see where leak was coming from. Looks like it's just the coolant resevoir that has a leak(thank goodness it wasn't something major). I am thinking of replacing myself as i am out of warranty. the other thought is to add one of those stop leak soultions in the reservoir... not sure if that is a good idea on a bike... i know there are several out there for cars to pick from and the coolant for a bike/car are identical.. Thoughts/suggestions? Does anyone know of a place i can order replacment resevoir?

Had the same thing happen on my old RS. It was a easy fix. Picked up replacement from the Dealer for something like $60. only took 2 days to get. All i had to do was buy a new clamp to go on the hose.

search: coolant reservoir

You want the good news or the bad news? OK first the good news, "you are not alone" if you do a search here on SpyderLovers there are many with the same experience as yours.
Now for the bad news, it needs replaced with a new one. I would not recommend any sealant in the coolant. Some post out there state its around $65.00 but check with your dealer for warranty or a good faith replacement (its not a wear item and also a known defect)

@happyspyder2039... Easy fix huh? $60 and the cost of hose clamp? I'm in. In the meanwhile I just picked up another bottle of coolant so i'm filling every 2 days just to stay on safe side.
