• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Coolant leak?

I find this each time I do a long ride (100 miles +). Each times, there was no rain or water on the road. Looks like dried coolant water. It is on the right side A frame right below the coolant recovery tank. The tank has marks for cold & hot. Hard to tell by just looking, so I inserted a piece of wire and come back dry. Looks like here is no coolant in the tank. This was checked with a cold engine (sat overnight). There is two plastic tubing attached just below the neck; one black and one clear. Are any of those for overflow?
Should I be concerned? Temp gauge looks fine and is right at about the middle of the scale and never showed over heating.Coolant leak.jpg
Thanks for any help.

Keep an eye on the fluid level.
Regardless of what you see on the ground the coolant level is gospel.

Hi Bigmo,

Re: Coolant leak?

Almost exactly two years ago I was having a very similar problem. While at my indie mechanic we found a vertical crack in the coolant bottle. It went from near the top down about 2/3 of the way. We only found it by pressing a finger onto the face of the coolant bottle. We could not see the crack with the naked eye.

Just something to consider,
