• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Clutch reservoir cover

Anyone know how to replace the Clutch reservoir cover? I ordered the new cover but cant get the gasket or sight window off the old to use with the new.

Interesting. ...

The new one did not come with the gasket and sight window..? I have not done one on the spyder but on others it is a pressure fit sight glass going through the rubbed to make the seal. Tricky and you don't want to tear it....:dontknow:

Did check cheapcycleparts.com and did not find the seal or sight glass as something you can order...

They do....

Not sure if it even works...it is a plastic barrel that goes down into the resivouir at an angle. Always looks the same even when my o-rings went bad and the fluid level dropped it still looked the same. You could cork it for all the good it does...:roflblack: a sensor like the brakes would be the way to go...

Does the RS even have a sight glass? There isn't one on the RT and I don't remember having one on the GS I used.

I see, I was thinking it was a sight glass where you see the level without removing the cap, you know like they have on almost every other motorcycle made. :banghead:

To take off the gasket and sight window from the clutch reservoir, unscrew the two screws on the cover with a T20 torx. Make sure there's a shop rag on the panel underneath where you're working to keep any fluid off the Spyder.

Phantoms rule!
