• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Check your backrest bolts

I wonder if it's possible to reverse those bolts? That way you wont have the sharp end of the bolt inside the box to scratch up your helmet.

WTH was Can Am thinking? Will a modular helmet fit? I know on my luggage rack installed on my RT S2S, I used the shortest bolts possible along with acorn nuts. The local hardware store also sells plastic screw caps. I'd be PISSED to scratch my Shoei helmet !!!

If you reverse them so that the thread end is on the outside of the top-box instead of sticking in & potentially damaging your helmet/anything you put in the box, then surely the thread end of those bolts will either stick into and damage the push-on backrest, or they'll stick out too far to let the backrest even go on at all. 😖

Lamont's replacement M6 x 14mm bolts look like the way to go. ;)

not necessarily, the backrest bracket looked like it was recessed enough to take a locking nut.
