• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

110,000
122,000
130,000 (engine #3)
Total 12 X $1,300 (average)=$15,600
Did BRP changed the miles requirements?
Are the valve check and adjustment prices around $1,300 nationwide?
Skipping the 1,200 miles requirement did void the engine warranty? (Not in my case)

In my manual on my '09 is says to check and adjust at 12,000. However, mass mentality is that it is unnecessary at that mileage. In Chattanooga TN it was going to cost me 750 bucks.

This probably doesn't answer the question , But i never adjusted valves on any bike i had, By the time get 15 to 20 thousand miles on them I get the new bike Itch and sell them, for a new bike and start the process over again.

And the poor sucker who buys your trade-in gets it for sure!

Na, Not really my ex bikes are well maintained by me, It's just that most valve adjustments are over kill.
As a matter of fact, Whoever bought my Spyder got 21 hundred dollars in repairs to it with less than 5 hundred miles on it before i sold it. [Traded in]

My first :spyder2: the 2008 GS got the valve check at 10,000 miles when I brought it in. Cost an extra $850.00.

Since then, my dealer does not recommend valve checks. He also did his at about the same time and found no need. He checked his again at 20,000 and found no need for adjustment.

Currently, I am thinking I may do it at 30,000 or so--end of this season on my current :spyder2:

I may hold off on the 30,000 if there is a tantalizing new 2013 on the horizon.

But did they ever have to do any adjustments???

Had mine done @ 6,000 checkup --- was $550.00 for everything, oil change, etc.... Have not had them checked since... but probably will soon.
I would think every 20,000 to 30,000 miles would be okay.

just shy of 13,000 km, and the dealer say's no need to adjust the valves, even the salesman I bought it from ( on his second spyder ) did not have his valves done. He rides more than extremely hard.
