Charging

Hooked up my little charger today and plugged it into the place in the runk...nothing happened until I turned the key on and then it started charging....is there a secret I don't know?....is it ok to leave the key one while it's charging?...

It has to do with fuse placement. Probably covered in your OM. Or, a 13 owner will chime in soon. Personally, I'd wait on charging, til you relocate the fuse.

From Page 60 of the 2013 Roadsters Operator's Guide: When fuse 6 is installed in the RH fuse box, 12 V power outlet is only operational when ignition switch is at ON position. When fuse 7 is installed, 12 V power outlet is always operational.

When all else fails read the instructions......now to find the fuses.....thanks a lot for the help....

Little checking..!!

manual will also show you where the fuses are. But remember when you change it over that anything else you might use there will stay on all the time as well..!!:thumbup:

I wonder why they made this change to the plug? :dontknow:
At least they DID include the instructions for un-doing it!

(My 2014 won't leave the dealership until that fuse is moved...:thumbup
