• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Character Traits within the Goup

Twice on this forum I have sold items that I had underestimated the freight cost. Both times I had followed up with a message making sure things were OK & that they had received a good deal on the freight charge as I had under priced while estimating the actual freight charges.
Both times without any request from me the recipients had send me additional $ funds to cover the cost of my freight shortcomings.
I have been in several business & once the price was agreed & was paid the purchasers just accepted their good fortune.
On this forum both of the guys--without prompting--sent me the $ funds to cover my freight underestimates.
That to me is the true sign of character to the finest level, while the $ funds were insignificant and ignoring all the bickering we do with one another I will never forget the kind heart'ed gesture of both of these gentleman.
Again--I thank them kindly,
Darrell

your post

On your last two posts , the LIKE and Thanks boxes were removed !!!! :dontknow: .... I wonder what's up with that ?????........ Mike

I've got them still Mike, & from the looks of it, so have at least a few others?? :dontknow:

So I wonder what's up with your settings?? It's gotta be some box in them that you've checked or not checked, cos some (most?) of us can still see & click on both Thanks & Like for Wildrice's posts!

Re your post Wildrice, it is interesting isn't it?? I reckon it's something to do with the 'Spyder Ryder mentality' cos I have had the same sort of experience with Spyder Ryders in general (being 'diplomatic', there is at least one glaring exception example I can think of Down Under!) but I've never met that sort of response so widely prevalent across any other specific group of riders/people?!? :sour:

:agree: with what you are saying. I purchased an item from a fellow member, he sent me a message asking me if I wanted the insurance placed on it? I told him yes, and to let me know what to send him (PayPal). After he sent it to me he got back, and said it was only $4.00, not to worry about the money. We really are like a family, we might bicker, but still love each other.

I have always had pleasant experiences dealing with not just Spyder folks, but motorcyclists in general. Through all the bickering and poking fun at each other because of what we ride/wear/eat/vote for/tires/oil/ on and on we are motorcyclists and members of a very close knit society. Pull into a motel anywhere in this country on your bike and if there are other bikes there I guarantee before the evening is over you all will be chatting with each other. Try that with your FordChevyChryser cage. Here's to motorcycling and the lifelong friends it creates.

Two things...

One..we do have some outstanding members and an all around great bunch..:2thumbs:

Wild: I see the buttons here.
And :agree: with you! We've got some real "Stand-Up" folks in here! :2thumbs:
