• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CB install

KNIGHTRIDER

Had my CB installed today. Nine hours after I drove it in to the shop I was able to ride it home. That was nine hours of constant work as I worked along side the chief mechanic. We had to take the plastic off both sides and removed the entire rear section. We finally put everything back on and found that the CB/audio/MP3 player was in mono only. I could only hear thru the left earpiece. Also I had to manually switch from external speakers to headsets. (I think when you plug the headset in, the external speakers should be blocked). All in all, I'm disappointed in the whole process. The mechanic did the best he could but lacked the proper training from BRP. Given the choice to do it again, I would opt for something simpler and cheaper.

Soooo, once I have my intercom (could care less about the CB), I will only be able to hear music in mono??? Well, that sucks! Sure is a lot of money for one ear! They have very little information on the web site.
Question, did you get the BRP headsets and wiring harnesses (including the little known Entertainment Harness) for your helmet?

I'm using a J&M headset and lower cord. My dealer is calling BRP this morning to see if they know how to fix the problem. If they can't fix it, I'm going to have the unit removed and get my money back. Let you said, it's too much money for a mono unit.

cb and intercom

you may a bad connector or unit. we have put about 200 miles on our sytem and it works fine.

what headset and lower cords are you using? if J&M it should be the ZVT lower cord. i have other lower cords and that is the only one that fully functions.

i would also check to make sure your left headset connected properly in yout helmet.

last the pin out drawing is available you could identify the left speaker and common ground lines and use some small test lines with clips to test connect the correct pins or sockets to a small stereo plug headset. let me know if you want to talk through this because it could be connectors and.or incomplete connections and not the main unit.

good luck lonnie

Not to ask stupid questions, but I'm a stupid guy, so it's natural, but...........
Are you certain one side is actually dead ?
There is a balance control on the stereo, maybe it's set all teh way to the right ?

Sometimes, the obvious is too easy. It takes "stupid" questions to see it! Been there when someone asked.... "is is plugged in?" :2thumbs:
